There are a number of Everlost specific terms that are used throughout the series that could easily be misused. This page is meant to create a standard for how they should be used that is based off of how they are used in the book. Feel free to add terms to this list and fix any incorrect instances on the wiki.
Disclaimer: Just because the entry for the term says it should not be capitalized, does not mean that proper English grammar should be disregarded. If a sentence starts with "Skinjacker" it should be capitalized, even though it is not a proper noun. If a sentence starts with a hyphenated term like "dead-spot", only the first letter should be capitalized (Dead-spot NOT Dead-Spot).
Afterlight is used as a proper noun. It is always capitalized.
Center of the Earth Edit
When referring to the center of the Earth, only "Earth" is capitalized. Thus, "center of the Earth" is not a proper noun.
Greensoul is one word and it is a proper noun. It is always capitalized and it is never two words. Use "Greensoul" and not "greensoul" or "green soul" or "Green Soul."
Finder is used as a proper noun and thus should always be capitalized.
Gravity Fatigue Edit
Gravity Fatigue is used as a proper noun. Both words should be capitalized.
Skinjacker, Skinjack Edit
Skinjacker is used as a noun and should not be capitalized. Skinjack, skinjacked, and skinjacking are verbs and should not be capitalized.
Scar Wraith Edit
Scar wraith is two words and it isn't a proper noun. It should not be capitalized.
The term dead-spot is not a proper noun, so it should not be capitalized. It is always a hyphenated term.
The term road-shoes is not a proper noun, so it should not be capitalized. It is not a compound word, but rather a hyphenated one. If you do see any compound instances (roadshoes as opposed to road-shoes), please fix them!
